Who we are
Keeps - Little Things (“Keeps”) is published by DOKU YAPAY ZEKA YAZILIM TEKNOLOJİ LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ (“Doku Labs”, “we”), Caferağa Mah. Şifa Sk. No: 19, 34710 Kadıköy/İstanbul, Türkiye. Keeps is a personal notebook for the little things you learn about the people and places in your life. Those notes are about other people as much as about you, which is why the app is built so that they never reach us. This page explains exactly what that means, and where the few unavoidable exceptions are.
The short version
We collect no personal data. Keeps has no account, no sign-in and no server of ours to send anything to. Every person, place, note, photo, preference and reminder you create is held on your device and, if you leave sync on, in your own iCloud. We cannot see any of it, and neither can anyone else.
Keeps has no ads, no analytics, no attribution and no crash-reporting SDK, and it does not track you.
iCloud sync
Keeps keeps a copy of your notebook in iCloud so that losing your phone does not mean losing what you noticed. It goes to the private database of your own Apple Account, where only your devices can read it. It does not pass through any server of ours, and it is not shared with anyone.
You can turn sync off in the app’s Settings at any time; Keeps then holds your notebook on that phone alone. Turning it off leaves the copy already in your iCloud untouched; to remove that too, open iOS Settings → your name → iCloud and delete Keeps’ data there. Deleting the app on its own does not remove it.
Apple stores this data for you under Apple’s Privacy Policy ↗. If you back up your iPhone, your Keeps data is included in that backup like any other app’s data.
Photos
You can add a photo for a person by taking one or choosing one. It is stored with the rest of your notebook: on your device and, with sync on, in your own iCloud. The camera is used only while you take that photo.
Choosing from Contacts
You can fill in a person from your Contacts. iOS shows its own contact picker, and Keeps receives only the one contact you pick: the name, photo, birthday and the city from the address. Keeps does not ask for access to your contacts and cannot see the others. What it copies is stored with your notebook, on your device and, with sync on, in your own iCloud.
Speaking a note
You can speak a note instead of typing it. On iOS 26 and later, Keeps transcribes your speech entirely on your device with Apple’s on-device speech models; the first time you use a language, iOS may download that language’s model from Apple, and your recording is not part of that download.
On earlier iOS versions Keeps asks Apple’s speech recognizer to work on the device, which it does where the device supports it. Where it does not, iOS processes the audio on Apple’s servers under Apple’s privacy policy. We never receive the audio or the transcript, and Keeps does not save a recording, only the text.
Apple Intelligence
Where Apple Intelligence is available, Keeps uses Apple’s on-device model to understand a note you wrote so it can suggest entries, and to punctuate something you dictated. Both run on your device; the text is not sent to Apple, to us or to anyone else. Elsewhere Keeps uses simple rules that also run on your device. Nothing it suggests is saved until you confirm it.
Searching for a place
When you look up a restaurant, city or landmark, Keeps sends what you typed into that search field to Apple Maps so it can return matching places. That is the one thing Keeps sends off the device, and only while you are searching. Your notes, your people and their names are never included. Keeps does not ask for or use your location. Apple handles these requests under Apple’s Privacy Policy ↗.
Sharing a destination
You can share a destination as a file through the iOS share sheet. There is no server in between and no link that we host. You see what the file contains before you send it, and the names of the people you travelled with are never included.
Reminders
Reminders are scheduled by iOS on your device. There is no push server of ours, so nothing about a reminder is sent to us. Changes made on another of your devices arrive through Apple’s own iCloud notifications.
Advertising, analytics and tracking
Keeps contains no advertising, analytics, attribution or crash-reporting SDK of any kind. We collect no usage statistics. Keeps does not track your activity across other companies’ apps or websites and does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Children
Keeps is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app has no chat, no social features and no unrestricted web access.
Your rights
Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, for users in the EU and UK, the GDPR, you may ask us whether we process your personal data, and ask for access, correction or deletion. Because Keeps sends nothing to us, we hold no personal data from the app; your notebook is under your control on your device and in your iCloud, as described above. You can still write to us at [email protected], and we will answer within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page, with a new date, before any change to what leaves your device ships in the app.
Support and contact
If something is broken, confusing or missing, write to [email protected] and describe what you were doing when it happened. Because we collect no data at all, we can only work from what you tell us.
